Footpath to Goldthorn Hill, Wolverhampton
This short footpath links Rycroft Avenue to Coton Road on the Goldthorn Hill estate. Never mind 24 December or even 24 January - this really was 24 March, during the coldest March since 1962. The easterly winds continued into April, much of the snow still remaining on the ground after British Summer(!) Time started. In March 2012, daytime temperatures repeatedly exceeded 20°C. 2013 maxima varied from 1°C to 5°C.
