This wooded area by the footpath south-west of Park Hall Hotel is flooded this Christmas Day, following a period of wet weather through the month. Some maps mark this as a shallow pool. A thin layer of ice covers some of the water.

This triangle of unused land by the former Park Hall Hotel (now Ramada Park Hall Hotel and Spa) has a public footpath towards Sedgley crossing it to the south-east and an alleyway through to the housing of Goldthorn Park. A clump of decorative grass has become well established.
