Detached house on Goldthorn Hill, Wolverhampton
I have always liked this red brick detached house dating from the early twentieth century, despite the fact that closer examination of the bricks suggests that it has been extended to the left, and the bay was added a bit later.

Housing on Goldthorn Hill, Wolverhampton
This is near the top of the hill at the junction with Park Street South. There are many substantial early twentieth century detached and semi-detached red brick houses by this road (the A4039). This is Avondale - a fine example; the bricks are in super condition after around 100 years.
