New restaurant in Blakenhall, Wolverhampton
This is a multicultural area of Wolverhampton which has been undergoing very extensive regeneration for several years. The nearby Blakenhall Gardens housing development is now well under way.
Here, the Lakshmi, a new Asian restaurant and take-away (and sweet centre) has been built next to the carpet and bed showrooms. I presume the restaurant is connected to the long established Lakshmi Sweet Centre Ltd.

Relax in Phoenix Park, Blakenhall, Wolverhampton
This park is well looked after, and much credit must go to the local people who care about this attractive public park.
The land here was a coalmine and brickworks for hundreds of years, until becoming a park for the people of Blakenhall in the 1960s.

Phoenix Park in Blakenhall, Wolverhampton
Phoenix Park is a well maintained area of park land with an enclosed adventure playground with climbing apparatus, a football pitch and other facilities including a recently installed superloo! The park occupies the site of a former brick works. The local community has been fully involved in recent development of this park. http://www.phoenix-park.org.uk/
