I was trying to get a good view of Burwarton House but it's too well landscaped and hidden from prying eyes.

This old tree, possibly an old Chestnut tree, is quite eyecatching and no doubt home to many important bugs.

Snow shower on the Burwarton Estate
Heading uphill into wet snow along a path on the estate. There are plenty of footpaths through the fields and woods of Burwarton, and the pub Image welcomes walkers. Even cold ones with wet dogs.

Bird sculpture on a pub sign in Burwarton village
This stylised crow, or possibly a rook, or maybe a raven, sits atop a roadside sign for the Boyne Arms. I wonder what the local Corvidae make of it? The arms referred to are those of the Viscounts Boyne, of both the Irish and English Peerage I believe, who still live at Burwarton House in Burwarton Park nearby.

Two frogs on a moped at Burwarton
Outside the Boyne Arms these two frog sculptures sit astride their moped. They seem pretty excited by the prospect of a ride, or envigorated by their safe completion of a recent jaunt. I'm glad to see one at least is wearing a helmet. Though their chances of getting the moped through its next MOT seem poor.

The Boyne Arms public house in Burwarton
This excellent roadside pub on the B4364 Ludlow to Bridgnorth road is a Free House and does great food. They are promoting a Spanish evening on a forthcoming Saturday - tapas, paella and Spanish style stuff. The landlady is Spanish I think.
