St John the Baptist Church
The present building can be traced back to the 12th century tower, 13th century nave and several further additions thereafter. The mix is illustrated by looking at the windows at this end of the church - the single window at the end of the nave is 12th century, the left hand window of the chancel is 15th century (next to the blocked in priest's door), the right one is 13th century and the three on the end are late 19th century. The walls are constructed of local Clee Hill Dhustone with sandstone edging. Image
