Bilston Library and Craft Gallery, Wolverhampton
This building on the site of the demolished Brueton House (1818), was built in 1905 as a private residence. In 1918 the building was taken over by the Bilston Girls' High School which had just been set up as a private school, and stayed until 1930, adding extensions to the building. It became the town's Library, Museum and Art Gallery in 1937 and following redistribution in the early 1990s of Wolverhampton artefacts between three museums, the craft exhibits remain here. Bilston Craft Gallery is the largest dedicated craft venue in the West Midlands.
