Going Dutch in Queen Street, Wolverhampton
Shipley's is on the corner of Queen Street and Princess Street. It is totally isolated as the only Flemish Renaissance style building for many miles, built in about 1860. It is a listed building.

British Heart Foundation shop in Wolverhampton
In the pedestrianized section of Queen Street this is one of the better charity shops in the city. It occupies the site of the former Jessops photographic store, which closed in 2007 when the company almost went bankrupt. At that time Jessops had three stores (totally unnecessary) in the city centre; this was the largest and best. At the time the company downsized following a crisis in 2007, this and the smallest branch were closed, leaving one other small store in the Mander Centre, which was closed immediately after the company's final demise in January 2013.

The corner of these two streets still has impressive old architecture. Paddy Power is in Princess Street. The view is from the front of the taxi rank in Market Street.

Mad O'Rourke's, Wolverhampton
Wondering what else he could do to supplement his income from the famous Pie Factory pub, Mad thought, "Sure I'll open up a fast food dive near Mc(you know who!)'s in Wolverhampton." "Sure that didn't work, so oi'll close it down in September 2008 and tell people to go to the Tipton Pie Factory." Update: Mad didn't last long here in the pedestrianised part of Queen Street. :-)
