Footpath in a replanted wood
Following the closure of the opencast mines here in the 1980s Image, much of the area has been replanted with woods or grassland. As you walk this particular stretch of path, the ground rises and falls in a series of wide ridges, clearly not a natural feature, and presumably part of the post-work landscaping.
