Railway north of Bushbury Lane, Bushbury
Looking towards Stafford. Bushbury Junction, where the line from Wolverhampton joins the Grand Junction line that avoids it, is behind the camera, a little way south of Bushbury Lane. Ahead on the left, some of the housing that has recently been built on the former Good Year factory site is visible.

Despite its name, Low Hill Crescent is actually approximately elliptical. At this point, the west end of it crosses Hammond Avenue.

Hidden by the dust
Watched by the crowd, the demolition of Goodyear's chimney is complete. Hidden by the dust cloud is a pile of painted bricks. There were about 150,000 bricks in the chimney.

After the dust had settled
Goodyear's chimney has disappeared from the skyline and the site is clear for development. The spectators who have lived with the sight of the chimney throughout their lives disperse. Goodyears have been manufacturing on this site since the 1920s.
