Housing in Springfield, Wolverhampton
These flats were built in the early 1960s and the road was named after Badger Hall, which had been recently demolished, and the village of Badger in Shropshire.

End of the road for 'The Waggon and Horses'
This pub in the shadow of the incinerator has had a chequered history of drugs and violence with at least two bodies recovered in recent years from the adjacent canal locks. A supermarket is now proposed for the site.

Another pub closed down - but what would you expect after recent incidents listed here: http://www.expressandstar.com/2008/07/22/calls-to-close-pub-after-shooting/ I remember when I was involved in shooting in this pub in the 1970s (Wolverhampton League ten yard bell target air rifle!) The boards on the building state that the site has been acquired for a "retail development". Note 29 May 2010 : The pub was again attacked by arsonists recently. It is earmarked as the site for a new Co-op food store.

This is a detail of decorative tiling from above the main entrance of this 1960s (?) public house, closed in 2008 after a series of "incidents". The site has been sold for a "retail development". We'll see. Image Note 29 May 2010 : The pub was again attacked by arsonists recently. It is earmarked as the site for a new Co-op food store.
