Underhill House
Council operated home recently reprieved from closure after review.
The reprieve was relatively short-lived as the home closed in January 2010 amidst some uproar as 106 year old Louisa Watts was moved to another home on one of the coldest days of the winter.
A new private care home opened on the site in February 2016.

The Talisman PH
A late 1950s estate pub on the Underhill Estate. Almost my local though I cannot remember setting foot in the place!
The pub has been closed following a police raid and the licence suspended for 28 days. It was described as 'at the centre of an organised drugs ring' with crack cocaine, herbal cannabis, scales and cannabis production equipment in the cellar.
Owner is Punch Taverns. In 2001 a man was shot dead in the car park.
