Canal lock. c1770. By Brindley, Whitworth and Simcock, engineers. Brick with some stone coping. Double lower and single upper gates. The lock is one of a flight of 21 on the Birmingham Canal, Wolverhampton level. Listed Grade II. Oxley viaduct is seen in the background and is also Listed Grade II.

MOT required in Gorsebrook Road
A quiet area with seats adjacent to the new 'Red Route' along the Stafford Road in Wolverhampton. The area south of Gorsebrook Road was the Stafford Road Works of the GWR from 1849. Between 1859 and 1908 over 800 locomotives were built on this site. The workshops finally closed in 1964.
