Railway north of Bushbury Lane, Bushbury
Looking towards Stafford. Bushbury Junction, where the line from Wolverhampton joins the Grand Junction line that avoids it, is behind the camera, a little way south of Bushbury Lane. Ahead on the left, some of the housing that has recently been built on the former Good Year factory site is visible.

After the dust had settled
Goodyear's chimney has disappeared from the skyline and the site is clear for development. The spectators who have lived with the sight of the chimney throughout their lives disperse. Goodyears have been manufacturing on this site since the 1920s.

Last moments of a local landmark
The Goodyear chimney has stood here since the 1920s. Tyre manufacturing has moved to cheaper locations leaving only a small operation on a corner of the site. The remainder is to be redeveloped for housing and retail use. A large crowd has gathered on a Sunday morning to see the demolition of the chimney, the last building on the site.
