End of the road for 'The Waggon and Horses'
This pub in the shadow of the incinerator has had a chequered history of drugs and violence with at least two bodies recovered in recent years from the adjacent canal locks. A supermarket is now proposed for the site.

I remember when I was involved in shooting in this pub in the 1970s (Wolverhampton League ten yard bell target air rifle!) The boards on the building state that the site has been acquired for a "retail development".
Note 29 May 2010 : The pub was again attacked by arsonists recently. It is earmarked as the site for a new Co-op food store.
