Walsall Junction
On the right the Walsall Canal continues into the centre of Walsall. To the left the Walsall Branch Canal rises through an eight lock flight to meet the Wyrley & Essington Canal at Birchills Junction.

The bottom lock of the short length of canal. The canal links the Wyrley & Essington Canal to the Walsall Canal.

Branch canal to Walsall town centre
This is no more than a guess based on identifying the multistorey block above Wilko and the Town Hall in the distance. If I am right none of the buildings in the foreground and middle distance survive. I have more pictures on the same day but cannot locate them with any accuracy.
If anybody can locate this better I would be grateful.

Town Arm junction, Walsall Canal
The junction at which the Town Arm (right) splits from the main Walsall Canal. Like many urban stretches of canal, this part of the Walsall Canal is now lined with blocks of low rise flats.

Walsall Junction
Modern apartments overlook the junction where the short Walsall Town Arm, to the right, leaves the main line of the Walsall Canal. Although this was at the height of the summer season, there were no boats to be seen on this unremittingly urban part of the canal network.
