Teaching Block at the former West Midlands College of Higher Education
Constructed in 1964, this unique building formed the centrepiece of the West Midlands Teacher Training College which is now part of the University of Wolverhampton. Until recently it was surrounded by halls of residence which were demolished two years ago. This is scheduled for demolition in 2008

West Midlands College of Education, Walsall 1970
I have this labelled as the K and L residential blocks, so I must have been looking south-west from within the "quadrangle". The college was built circa 1963. Much of it has been demolished (2006-2008). With a lot of new buildings, the site now functions as a sports centre, aping the Americans by being referred to as the Walsall Campus of the University of Wolverhampton The image has been scanned from an Agfa Gevaert monochrome transparency dated February 1970.
