The Old & New, Walsall Bus Station
The older building with the clock tower is part of what was left of the old functional bus station in Walsall, whilst the canopy and glass section are part of the new (less functional and extremely expensive) bus station. When the bus station first opened it had a continuous recorded message which warned pedestrians not to walk in front of moving buses and not to skateboard in the bus station. This featured on the Jeremy Vine Radio Two programme for a few days after I called the programme to point this out.

Walsall Bus Station
What, no buses! This vast paved area and shiny new building cost millions when it replaced the old 1930's functional bus station. Now, where buses used to stop, paving slabs have taken over and the new bus station, which has proven quite dangerous to pedestrians, has less space than the old bus station - they call it progress!
