Wayside cross in the churchyard of St Luke's, Cannock
Thought to be probably 14th century, but clearly much damaged as the cross has gone. The base and stone shaft were Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101060216-wayside-cross-in-st-lukes-churchyard-cannock-chase & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1060216 in 1951.

Former offices of 'Ancient Order of Foresters'
This was quite a fitting location on the edge of Cannock Chase for this Friendly Society founded in 1834. The emblem has gone from the front of the building but the war memorials remain on the side adjoining the churchyard.

St Luke's parish church Cannock
Little visible change in the last 12 years since Image was taken. A Grade II* listed building https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101295000-parish-church-of-st-luke-cannock-chase & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1295000, the listing being given in 1951, with a history dating back 900 years. Founded as a small chapel in the 12th century in a hamlet known as Chenet, but rebuilt in stone from the 13th century onwards. Small sections of that masonry survive to this day in the north aisle. Further substantial building works took place in the 14th & 15th centuries, including much work on the tower, and then in the 16th the belfry was added. Work continued through the 17th & 18th centuries - pews for seating, a vestry and west gallery, plus internal seating in the south gallery later. Doorways were altered, closed up or removed. In the late 1870s, the nave was extended and widened, and a new chancel built, but by the 1920s a couple of unsafe interior galleries had to be removed. After WW2, a memorial chapel was added on the south side of the chancel, then further interior alterations took place in the 1950s. along with a new porch to the south entrance in 1957.
