Soon to be a road
The current hedge on the right will soon make way for a second carriageway of the A4440. The cottage on the Norton road looks threatened as the roundabout is enlarged and moved south. There seems to be no hurry to start as there is a good crop of wheat growing, with the customary tramlines.

Trees gone from A4440 Norton roundabout
In the space of a couple of days the previously "Blooming roundabout" has been shorn of its trees. Pity, really; they had grown well in the past 27 years. Link Image

Stubble field beside the A4440
With such a rural view of the Malverns it is hard to credit that you are just at the top of the cutting that takes the southern link road under the railway .

Cycle path
This remnant of the old Norton road was often used by travellers with their traditional caravan and horses . Now with the dialling of the A4440 the roundabout will double in size , all the trees have already gone.

Roadworks on Crookbarrow Way, Whittington
There has been roughly zero work done here for at least nine months according to Google, and quite possibly longer. Maybe the barrier company is using them for advertising purposes.
