Houses on Cole Hill
Houses on Cole Hill in Worcester. Before the English Civil War, when this area became known as Fort Royal Hill after the Royalist Fort, this area was called Cole Hill after William Cole who in 1310 gave 30 years of land to the nearby Commandary which at the time was a hospital. The building of houses in this part of Worcester began in the 1860s.
