The Crown Inn (1), Main Road, Hallow
The Crown Inn is a very large public house, which is well known for its food, as well as having several real ales available. It fronts onto the A443 road and is one of the two surviving public houses in the village. The building is Grade II listed and parts date from the 17th century, but it was much altered and extended in the early 19th and mid-20th centuries.

The Crown Inn (2) - sign, Main Road, Hallow
The Crown indicates loyalty to the reigning monarch. It has been used as an inn or pub sign for hundreds of years. In the past, when most people were illiterate, the sign was easily recognised by people. The Crown is almost as popular as the Red Lion as a pub name. This pub has a similar sign on a post in the car park.

As well as a sign attached to the front of the pub, there is a second sign in the car park, adjacent to the A443 road.

Westlands Group are a small chain of Toyota car dealers. They sell both new and used cars.

Main Road (A443), Hallow
The main road in Hallow is logically called Main Road. It forms part of the A443. In the far distance can be seen the local church. The village is one of those which has been able to retain its traditional red telephone kiosk.

The village still had this traditional red telephone kiosk, and this one still has a telephone too, which isn't now always the case.
