Henwick Road YMCA, Worcester
After 40 years this hostel closed at the beginning of December and at least some of the believed 75 residents were relocated to locations unknown. The site is to be redeveloped. It's a fine building and I fell over it by accident while photographing the nearby level crossing.

YMCA Worcester
Worcester's YMCA stands on Henwick Road and is a large Victorian building. Originally built as an orphanage in 1868 by William Watkins. It was extended in 1885, again probably by Watkins.

Berrow's House, Hylton Road, Worcester
This might be the most interesting post-war building in Worcester, not that there is much competition. By Austin-Smith, Salmon, Lord, 1964-65. Pre-cast concrete. The staircases are rather good.
Home to the local paper, Worcester News, but since this photo it may have moved elsewhere and sold this building to the university.
