An Inconvenient Truth
The wide pavement and hoardings mark the site of the public toilets fatally undermined by a neighbouring stream during the epic floods of 2007. Fortunately, alternative facilities are available just off the main street, near the public library and car parks.

The Royal Oak Hotel is on the left. On the right are the new toilets after the old ones had been damaged by the stream (just to the right of the wall) flooding. Compare with the September 2009 photo:- Image]

The Kyre Brook, Tenbury Wells
On its way to meet the River Teme, this benign little stream that threads its way behind the shops has become a destructive raging torrent twice in recent years. The public toilets were swept away in 2007, when almost the entire town centre was under water. Disused shops in Market Street still have flood defences in place.

Toilets, Market Street
New toilets after the rebuild following the floods of recent years. The oast house design looks somewhat strange. Is one expected to hop in?

Oast House Toilets (Tenbury Wells)
Weirdest oast houses I have ever seen... wait, they just house toilets? Oh wow! These were built around 2007 after the disastrous flood hit Tenbury Wells.
