Church Street, Great Malvern
Looking uphill towards Belle Vue Terrace. On the left is the churchyard with shops on the right. The road has been closed to traffic in preparation for the "Switching-on of the Christmas lights". Despite very few shoppers in the town our loyal Big Issue seller remains at his post on the right.

Post no bills in Church Street
Looks like some bill posters can't read the sign which is close by.

Another town centre shop closure
Another town centre shop closure in Great Malvern. Boots have had a larger store on the Malvern Retail Park for a number of years so it is understandable this store on Church Street. Not an attractive or inkeeping building in Great Malvern.

Colemans stationery shop, 5 Church Street, Malvern
On the steep upper section of Church Street between the HSBC bank (No 1, Church Street) and the Bluebird Tea Rooms (No 9). For many years this was Woods china shop. The wood above the left upper window bears the date 1877.

The Bluebird Tea Rooms above Robin Elt Shoes
The tea room windows overlook the statue of Sir Edward Elgar and the Enigma Fountain on Belle Vue Terrace. The excellent shoe shop supplies shoes wide enough to fit even my feet! Located between Colemans stationery and the Outdoor shop on the steep upper section of Church Street.

Shops in Church Street
The steep path requires careful forward planning when preparing to shop in Great Malvern if one is not in the best of health. Boots now occupies the flat roofed 1960s supermarket "eyesore". just below it is a real gem: Malvern Country Meals an excellent award winning butchers' shop. A haberdashery occupied the next shop for at least 30 years, but has recently become The Emerald Grove : " three floors of unique, quirky and bespoke items all handcrafted in the UK, with many items created by local artists and craftspeople." http://www.darkhalodesign.co.uk/emerald/index.htm
