GWR bench near the entrance to Humphrey Walwyn Library, Colwall
Three white GWR monograms are on the base of the bench. The GWR (Great Western Railway) ceased to exist as a company when the railways were nationalised at the start of 1948. It became the Western Region of the new British Railways. The name was revived in 2015 when train operator First Great Western rebranded itself Great Western Railway.

Clock tower and library, Colwall
Erected in 1931, the 10 metres high clock tower is known locally as Aunt Alice.
It was financed by Tom Pedlingham in memory of his wife Alice. Humphry Walwyn Library is on the right.
