Arboretum Lodge, Worcester
Arboretum Lodge is on Sansome Walk, Worcester. The lodge was built as the entrance lodge to a pleasure park in 1859, however, the park was unsuccessful and in the 1860s the park land was sold off and developed. Today the area is still known as the Arboretum and is residential with narrow streets and terrace housing. The spire of the former Mary Magdalene church can be seen on the left.

Victoria Institute, Worcester
The Victoria Institute was converted into residential apartments in the 1990s. Work commenced on the building in 1894 with the Duke of York, the future King George V laying the foundation stone in April of that year. The building which also includes a museum and library was the School of Science and Art and a predecessor of the present Worcester College of Technology which relocated to Deansway in 1962, however, this building remained as part of the college until the 1990s. Built in red-brick and terracotta at a cost of about £25,000, the architects were JW Simpson & EJ Milner Allen.
