Once were trains [4]
The B4035 is carried on a bridge over long dismantled GWR railway line from Cheltenham to Birmingham via Honeybourne. Built in the early years of the twentieth century (1900-1906) the line closed to passengers in 1968 and to freight in 1976. The line is proposed to be re-opened as far as Honeybourne by the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway in the not too distant future. Indeed, included in the redoubling of the London to Worcester line is a platform at Honeybourne for the GWR trains. This view along the trackbed is looking north east towards Honeybourne and this is where Weston-sub-Edge station once was.
