Evesham Railway Station (exterior)
The railway station is on the Cotswold Line which can either be taken to mean the line from Oxford Moreton-in-Marsh Evesham Worcester or to include the line from Worcester to Hereford as well. On the day the photo was taken there were a few bemused passengers as the booking office was closed "for operational reasons". In fact no station staff were to be seen at all.

Passing trains
Evesham station currently provides the only passing place between Worcester and Moreton-in-Marsh, the rest of the line being single track. Platform one (on the right) is for trains heading West (to Worcester), whilst platform 2 (on the left) is for trains heading East (to London).

Evesham Railway Station platforms
The station has preserved much of its character though the chocolate and cream colour scheme of its Great Western Railway days is long gone. There are two platforms, 1 on the left, and 2 (reached by the footbridge in the distance) on the right.

Evesham Railway Station Platform 2
This is normally used for trains departing for London Paddington via Oxford. The double track at the station is between two long single track sections so trains have to pass each other at this point.

Footbridge, Evesham Railway Station
This footbridge over the railway lines links the two station platforms. The metalwork of the bridge is painted in a dark blue, presumably to match the livery of First Great Western, who currently operate the services from this station.
