Worcester - Stratford-on-Avon local train arriving at Evesham
View westward, towards Worcester: ex-GW London - Oxford etc. - Worcester etc. main line. The 12.38 from Worcester (Shrub Hill) is headed by '5101' 2-6-2T No. 5189 (built 4/31).

Outside Evesham Station
This view, taken from the station footbridge, shows the forecourt area which incorporates car parking and a taxi rank. Students of railway architecture will instantly recognise the Signal House as a Midland Railway building - typical of the design used for small to medium sized stations. In fact, this is all that remains of the Midland station which was on the line from Barnt Green to Ashchurch. This was never a very busy route and the station closed to passengers in 1963 - unlike the former Great Western Railway station opposite which is still very much in business.
