With the Merseyside fire and rescue team's van parked up behind the barriers and the TV vans beyond, a mecca for sight-seers this Sunday morning.
For the Art deco fans; is the building not a good example of 1930's cinema architecture?

Emergency services in Port Street
Two of the fire engines here are from Buckinghamshire, part of a fantastic response by the emergency services to the flooding resulting from the heavy rain on Friday 20th July 2007. Crews from Cheshire were also in attendance.

Regal again?
The 1930s Regal cinema in Evesham is undergoing a massive refurbishment to bring it back into use as a cinema, restaurant and function complex after years of lying closed and disused.It is already showing films again while restoration continues. One of the upcoming attractions at the time of the photo was the vampire movie New Moon - appropriate as the cinema has come back from the dead.
