Contrast
The Northwick Hotel in Evesham contrasted with the boarded up apartment block next door. The hotel looks in good condition but the apartments seem to have been boarded up for some time.

Northwick Hotel, Waterside, Evesham
This image taken at 4.16pm 20th July 2007, from the gardens alongside the river. The flood waters coming up fast behind the camera will reach the doors by 7.30 later that evening, and reach a peak, level with the hanging baskets, by 2.00pm on Saturday. My room is on the first floor, out of shot, round the corner of the building to the right.

Bowhead whale sculpture
For almost a century until 2012 there used to be an arch here in Workman Cardens Image the arch was the jaw bones of a whale. Due to exposure to the weather and flooding they were removed to a nearby hotel. This sculpture of a whale and arch representing the whale bones were placed here in 2015.

Ferried away
The rescue team in Image is taking some folks who are being met and taken somewhere drier in town. The boat's outboard has snagged the top of the railings visible in Image - luckily with no apparent damage.
