Eckington station (site/remains), 1993
View southward, towards Cheltenham, Gloucester and Bristol: ex-Midland Birmingham - Bristol main line. The station was closed 4/1/65, but the line is very much still open - even including the Up loop added during the War.

Bay Cottage, Eckington
Early 19th century stucco cottage. At the rear and undergoing some renovation is a 17th century timber framed section with a thatched roof. This is behind the estate car. Listed Grade II.

The Bell, Church Street
On the corner of Church Street and Station Road. Re-opened in 2006 after extensive refurbishment. Offers dining facilities and accommodation. The Bell is one of the two surviving inns or pubs in the village.

Station Road and railway footbridge
Looking north-east along Station Road. There is no longer a station in Eckington (it closed in 1965) and this road comes to an abrupt end on both sides of the track just ahead where the level crossing used to be. The pedestrian can still cross via the footbridge on the right.
