Half-timbered village pub on Maytree Road, dating from 1570. Central bar with rooms radiating out from it; wooden beams, inglenook fireplace, pool, darts, games machine, background music, patio. Cask ales on offer at my visit from Purity and Sharp's.

The building dates from the 16th century and still has many original features including an inglenook fireplace with stones scavenged from Pershore Abbey after it was dissolved by Henry VIII, and a priest hole in the massive chimney structure. -- What Pub.
