Pershore Working Mens & Old Comrades Club
57 High Street. Pershore Working Men's Club originally formed in Newlands Pershore in 1877 as a buyers co-operative. The club acquired its current premises in 1889 and became a social club. Two schools of though for Old Comrades Club formation. One believed it was formed in Wick village by soldiers returning from the Boer war in South Africa. The second thought it was formed in Pershore after the 1914-18 war. The two clubs merged in 1920 to become the Pershore Working Men's and Old Comrades Club. This information is from the clubs web page. http://cms2.pwmandocc.co.uk/joomla/
