Marginal land, north bank of the Leeds & Liverpool canal
This land does not appear to be farmed, not has it ever been industrial. The distant houses are in Radnor Drive, Firs Lane.

Site of former Barton's Bridge
On the Leeds and Liverpool Canal (Leigh Branch). There are several bridges removed on this branch recognised by the narrowing of the canal. Several were swing bridges allowing farmers' access across but much farming land has been lost through the creation of ponds or flashes due to mining subsidence. Hence the bridges were redundant.
