Trinity Methodist Church, Lamberhead Green
Trinity Methodist Church on Fleet Street was erected in 1859. The first church in Lamberhead Green was the Wesleyan Methodist Chapel built in 1790; shortly afterwards a larger chapel was built in front of it, in 1820, in Chapel Street. As these had both become outgrown, a new church and school were built in Fleet Street in 1859. At the time this was known as the Wesleyan Chapel and Atherton School. In 1962 its name was to change to Trinity Methodist Church, following the amalgamation of Woodford Street, Loch Street and Fleet Street Churches. https://www.wigantoday.net/news/celebrating-faith-of-our-fathers-1-202606 (Wigan Today – 24 November 2009)
