Site of Moor Pit No 5
Situated off Scott Lane Aspull. There were 5 Moor pits in total, No 1 and 2 later became known as the Crawford pits. Others in the area were; Fothershaw, Wall Hey and the Aspull Water Pumping pit. The photograph was taken looking East towards Rivington Pike.
