A huge pub and restaurant near Notton village. But only two geographers as customers on this occasion.

Notton & Royston railway station (site), Yorkshire
Opened in 1882 by the Barnsley Coal Railway, soon to be part of the Manchester Sheffield & Lincolnshire Railway, on the short line from Nostell to Stairfoot, near Barnsley. The station closed to passengers in 1930.
View south west along the trackbed, towards Staincross & Mapplewell. No trace of platforms could be found in the undergrowth.

Oliver Twist
Not sure if the barricades are to keep the diners in or out!
It's a large catering establishment with over 400 seats. On this day the shutters were down, but when they saw us approach they were opened specially, and we remained the only customers all lunchtime.
