Working on the new road from the Doncaster Road to Aberford Road. Once completed, this will form the spine of a large housing development called 'City Fields' on all the farmland between Stanley Ferry and the current edge of Wakefield.

Lords and ladies, all in a row
The orange berries of lords-and-ladies [aka cuckoo-pint or Arum maculatum] along the public footpath from the Aberford Road to Neil Fox Way, Wakefield. This plant grows in shaded areas in woodland and along hedgerows. Here it is beneath hawthorn, which is covered in ivy.
