Former mill building, Flanshaw Lane, Alverthorpe
I suspect that this was the offices of the large mill that was behind. It has now been converted to homes, most of which (presumably) have entrances at the rear. Note the velux windows in the roof. For a view from the other end see: Image

Bective Road, off Flanshaw Lane
The route of Smithson's Tramroad, from 1798 to about 1850. By 1890 this was the road entrance to Bective Mills, where Sirdar yarn was spun.
