A very patriotic part of the country, where those two flags mean something. On the line of the old Barnsley Canal, now the Trans Pennine Trail.

Walton Sports &Social Club
It's Yorkshire, so no surprise the sign features cricket. You can get a Carlsberg here, and up the road comes a white truck laden with new supplies.

The New Inn, Walton, close to The Pennine Trail
Walkers are welcome in this pub which dates from the 18th century. The following is extracted from the inn's website, "Please feel free to use us as a base and remember, we are only 50m from the Pennine Trail! If you're not sure where to walk, just call in and see us and we'll point you in the right direction!"
