Alverthorpe Wakefield
The centre of Alverthorpe near Wakefield, sometimes referred to as the Alverthorpe Triangle. Wrenthorpe and Alverthorpe Meadows are bordered on their eastern edge by the GNER London to Leeds railway and hemmed in by the housing estates of Wrenthorpe and Alverthorpe on the other two sides.

Main footpath, Wrenthorpe and Alverthorpe meadows
The route of the former GNR Wakefield, Ossett and Batley branch railway line. The houses are at the northern end of Meadow Lane. Wrenthorpe and Alverthorpe meadows are a local nature reserve and form part of a flood reduction scheme.
