Site of the former Batley West Junction signal box
The 1933 1:2500 map shows a signal box at about this location, and an old photograph in a book shows that it was up at bridge level overlooking the twelve tracks that once passed under the bridge. The brick pier here is too narrow to have supported the box alone, so I presume there must have been another pier.
