Section of brick wall, English garden wall bond, East Bath Street, Batley
The wall was rebuilt in 1975 from the original bricks. The earlier standard stretcher bond was replaced with the English Garden Wall Bond to prevent subsidence, the wall was stepped and concrete foundations were laid beneath the wall. Also see Image] Image] Image] Image]

This large house, built of stone, overlooked a disused railway track, which was later filled in. This photograph was taken from the rear of the house in 1974.

This photograph was taken in 1982. The wall running down the hill was rebuilt with the original bricks in 1975 after collapsing. Old English Garden Wall Bond was used.
