Former Fire Station, High Street, Heckmondwike
The badge of the Urban District Council is in the gable. The door to the Public Baths is on the right, but these (at the rear) have been demolished.

Former Power Station, Bath Road, Heckmondwike
In the early days of electricity supply many of the local councils built power stations and laid the cables to supply their area. Here only half of the building has survived. The part to the left, now demolished, also included the public baths.
