Parkinson Close, Eastmoor, Wakefield
A small housing estate built of the site of railway sidings used by Park Hill Colliery. The sidings were built sometime between 1904 and 1930, and probably remained in use until the pit closed in 1992.

The route of a mineral line from Park Hill Colliery to sidings on the west side of Park Lodge Lane Image The pit closed in 1992 and this is now a well-used path down to the River Calder.
