The route of a mineral line from Park Hill Colliery to sidings on the west side of Park Lodge Lane Image The pit closed in 1992 and this is now a well-used path down to the River Calder.

Trees in blossom along the Washlands path
The lilacs are in back gardens on Linton Avenue. The path is on the route of a mineral line from Park Hill Colliery to sidings on the west side of Park Lodge Lane Image The pit closed in 1992 and this is now a well-used path down to the River Calder.
