Derelict Church, Wakefield
This is the former St Faith's Church, Stanley Royd Hospital. The Church was the chapel to Stanley Royd mental Hospital, which once was known as 'The West Riding Pauper Lunatic Asylum'. The church ceased to be used around 1995, when the mental hospital (now converted into apartments) closed. It is now for sale and falling into decay and dereliction.

St Faith?s church of the former Stanley Royd hospital
St Faith’s church was built in 1861 and is a grade II listed building. For many years it was a place of rest and contemplation for inmates and staff at the asylum, later the hospital. It was closed in 1996. The church is currently still up for sale, and is showing increasing signs of vandalism, including the damaged roof, caused by a fire. www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=33434
