Highfield Mills
Former premises of Thomas Carr Ltd, Carpet Yarn Spinners and Dyers. The company went into administration in January 2004 and the Mill closed. It has since suffered fire damage and is sadly set to be demolished to make way for yet another new (Barratt's) Housing Estate, especially since mills with multi-storey and single storey buildings and chimneys are becoming very rare.
